MEMORIES OF MATTHEW EVANS OF LLANSANTFFRAID
Matthew Thomas Evans was born 25th of February 1997. He sadly developed problems within a few months. He developed eplisepy and developmental delay.
Despite his probelms Matthew was a happy little boy his mum Gaynor worked endlessly to make his life a happy one. He was given all the care and love he needed.
Matthew attended Cedewain Special School in Newtown Powys were he was a popular member of class he was in Multi Sensory Stream.
Matthew loved lights and swimming feeling the water upon his body.
Matthew had a range of equipment which helped him with his daily life and underwent physo therapy exercises everyday to keep his muscles mobile.
Matthew eat normally for the first few years of his life but later needed to be fed via a gastro tube which was connected to his stomach. He was given nightly milk type feeds and his medication was placed through the same tube.
Matthews smile brought joy to his mums face. Matthew was able to go on holidays with his mum. He loved the smell of the sea air.
Matthew had many birthday partys and attended to many to list on here !
Taking care of Matthews everyday needs was tiring for his mum as she cared for him 24 / 7.
Sadly Matthew went to sleep on the 1st of November 2006. His mum Gaynor found him barly breathing and he sadly died before the amburlance and the doctor were able to get to him.
Anyone that loses a child will no the pain and heartache felt from there loss. Your never get over the death of a child you just learn to live with the loss.
Matthew is buried in the church yard in Llansantffraid. His mum is a regular visitor to his grave. Teddies and flowers watch over Matthew in his place of rest.
